Roman King is a NYC-based Creative Director who's all about telling stories through visual media, building brands, ensuring marketing and creative teams click, and staying on the pulse of culture.
Since joining the WNBA as Creative Director in 2019, he has orchestrated its creative evolution, spearheading all creative across advertising, design, digital, brand marketing, storytelling, and immersive experiences that capture the spirit and power of women's basketball today. Some of his work at the WNBA includes launching the league’s rebrand, the 25th-anniversary campaign "Count It", the WNBA's first short film We Are The W, and the acclaimed "More Than Game" campaign in 2023. His work has been recognized by Ad Age, Adweek, The Business of Fashion, Communication Arts, the Clios, Ebony, Muse, MTV News, the Webby Awards, among others.
Prior to joining the WNBA, Roman held creative leadership roles in editorial and marketing at Rolling Stone, Philadelphia magazine, and Condé Nast.
Roman is an alumnus of Yale School of Management's Creative Leaders program and hails from West Virginia, where he received his Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) at West Virginia University.
